Abigail Corbie

My name is Abigail Corbie, I am 17 years old and I have always had an interest in the arts. Over the years I have developed a deep love for visual arts, photography & film. Throughout my CSEC art journey, I have been able to use art as a way to express my feelings and thoughts that would have otherwise just been kept to myself. I have used art as a way to escape from reality, even if it is just for a couple hours, which allows me to destress and refocus. As I have grown as an artist, I have been able to experiment with numerous media such as graphite, charcoal, coloured pencils, acrylics etc. However, I always seem to return to acrylics because, in my opinion, they are a lot easier to utilize. In a number of my pieces several media were used to compose them, based on what my desired final piece was. In conclusion, art has always played a major role in my life, it has helped me in several ways & has challenged me in ways that nothing else ever has.
