Jamie-Lee Smith

My name is Jamie-Lee Smith and I am an art student at Holy Name Convent. The pieces that you see here were my first attempt at creating a body of work based on a related theme, “Caribbean”. My goal for these pieces was to show the beauty of the Caribbean, primarily through my use of colour. There are so many beautiful and important elements which I thought necessary to incorporate in these art pieces. My reason for using vibrant colours in my pieces was to showcase just how gorgeous Caribbean life can be. I hope my artwork has given people a new appreciation of the Caribbean and its beauty.
