Upon entering form 4 my painting techniques and abilities were quite limited and I was also hesitant to experiment with different mediums, therefore I often resorted to only using mediums that I have had previous experience and knowledge of, which was at the time acrylic. However, as time passed I began to explore different mediums and methods such as watercolour, ink, collaging, illustrator and Photoshop. Having said that, I was not always successful in producing a desirable composition. During the form 5 year I improved and became more confident in my painting and drawing abilities. I also explored different approaches through media and took more risks. Additionally, I discovered different methods of finding inspiration for my art pieces such as illustrations, magazines, movies and the news. In conclusion, from these past two years I have not only become more confident in my capabilities, but have also gained a new admiration and a different perspective on the theme of architecture and its beauty and history, which I had often taken for granted.
