My creative work incorporates the expressive forms of graphics and communications and painting and mixed media. The association between art and the flora and fauna of the world seems to be quite a well-known one, artists all over the globe have represented nature through this personalized way for centuries. My artwork allowed me to showcase my own  interpretation of “Flora and Fauna”. In many of my pieces, I included a human presence as I wanted to show that both humans and nature can join together in unanimity without one destroying the other. My main medium used throughout my pieces was acrylic paint as it was easy to work with, quick-drying, and durable, I also opted to use coloured pencils to add definition in several pieces. I discovered that not only was the drawing aspect important in art but the writing and critiquing components were equally as crucial. I was exposed to many new techniques which in turn helped me with my weaker areas like shading, detailing, and portraiture. I carried these many techniques and skills with me throughout the remainder of my journey, which then enabled me to effectively portray my artwork.
