Toni Lee Aping

In this project, my flat pieces and sculptures both explore separate themes. The sculptures deal with folklore/traditional characters found in cultures from Asia and North America. My flat artwork are portraits infused with elements from space and Earth flora. You may wonder why I chose to touch on these themes. Truth be told, most of my artwork comes from spur of the moment thoughts that I believe will be intriguing when executed. I discover things on the Internet that pique my interest, and then I continue to research these ideas for reference in my work. With these pieces, I am presenting a thought that has flashed across my mind.
